Port'N'Polish - 24/08/08   -   Click Here for Pictures

With a pit-stop at Jonny Killen’s apartment in Portstewart, we went a bit mad on the Saturday night before (Click Here for Photos) the show on the Sunday. Leaving Portstewart and heading straight to Moville was a simple enough task, as was cleaning the cars at a local garage along with entering the cars into the show. So full marks for simplicity and planning to the organisers (And full marks for the talent turn out – Rossi) of the event without even really getting to look around the show. As we’re still new to organising stands at shows we entered our cars separately, partly because we wanted to have some sort of turn out for the website and also because we didn’t want to pay €10 entry each when we could just pay €20 a car and take in the spare tyres that didn’t want to enter their cars... Paul and Drew (Dicks – JonnyS)

Inside we met up with the NCC lot, Dylan Harte AKA Choppy perving from a balcony above the NCC stand like a hawk on unsuspecting mice (LLF!!! – The Worx). With 2 small shopping stands set up, 1 of which was selling different accessories and the other offering information on Ultra Lightweight Rota Alloys. Along with the usual awards being handed out there was also a Miss Port N Polish competition that DG Cruising’s (Jonny Killen’s – Killen) own Michelle McDowell refused POINT BLANK to enter. (Bitch – martyd1901) There were lots of excellently modified cars present from a leather top Vectra to mint AE86 Twin Cam and everything in between! (Even an Oettinger Mark 5 Golf – Killen) The weather was brilliant all day and with not one single drop of rain, HAPPY DAYS! Thanks to Moville for having us, thanks to Jonny Killen for a class party the night before and a huge thanks to the DG Cruising members that were in attendance.
